Lantern's Keep Unveils The New Classics

For the first time in over a year, renowned cocktail bar Lantern's Keep in The Iroquois Hotel is premiering a new cocktail menu with over 30 cocktails. To introduce the new menu, Bar Manager Rene Hidalgo organized a cocktail making workshop with a focus on the classics.
Unlike what we see now, the original cocktails from the 1800s were defined by 3 key ingredients: a spirit, a sugar or sweet, and a bitter or sour. In our intimate workshop, Hidalgo walked us through the simple process of making an Old Fashioned (named fittingly because it was one of the first recipes to emerge with this formula), a Tom Collins, and a Stonecutter Highball (his perfected Gin & Tonic).

The new menu roughly sticks to this simple, old fashioned technique highlighting the fine spirits instead of concealing them, using only the freshest ingredients. Additionally, a new section of Nightcaps has been added, complete with a Coffee Cocktail and a Grasshopper. Want to mix it up a bit? Ask any of the skilled Bartenders for their choice, just tell them what you like. For a journey back in time, head to the intimate Lantern's Keep tucked away in The Iroquois Hotel.
